Costello provided planning, hydraulic modeling, and design for a water booster pump station and approximately 46,000 linear feet of water transmission/distribution water line to deliver water to serve approximately 1,400 acres of service area.

Ground storage tank improvements included two 0.5 million-gallon ground storage tanks, with welded steel (AWWA D100) design bid against pre-stressed concrete (AWWA D110, Type III, Dome Roof).

The booster pump station included 3-pump horizontal split-case booster pumps, two hydropneumatic tanks, and a liquid chlorination system. The reclaimed water system was constructed in a concrete filter vault with a sunshade canopy to allow for gravity flow from the plant to the filtration system. A dual weir splitter box allows for flow to be routed to the filter, plant outfall, or passive overflow to the plant outfall if filtration capacity is constrained.

Distribution waterline system design needed to account for completely built-out conditions with existing utilities to serve considerable commercial and heavily landscaped residential development throughout. The service area includes 27 lakes, with 40 metered points for irrigation water delivery, as well as nine metered flow control pressure reducing station delivery points for pond makeup water delivery. The System was modeled to allow irrigation to occur during the night with lake filling spread over the day, allowing time for ground storage tank level recovery

The project included coordination with Water Authority and Texas Water Development Board for approvals and project funding. The design of the booster pump station improvements was completed in 2019, with the design of distribution linework completed in 2020.
