Costello was hired to provide geospatial database and mapping of the public utilities owned and operated by the Fort Bend County MUD No. 128, 149, and 115. The database includes all facilities related to the storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water distribution systems.

The database also includes PDF images of all construction drawings, deeds, and plats linked to the geospatial data. Web-based mapping applications were developed that provide access to the data from a web browser or mobile devices.

The purpose of the data collection and mapping is to provide the utility operators with a proficient method to locate facilities and track maintenance operations and a proficient method for the Districts’ Attorneys to access information such as deeds, easements, and utility alignments.

The database covers an area of over 2,700 acres. ESRI ArcMap, ArcPro, ArcGIS Online and ESRI mobile apps were utilized for this project.
