Drainage & Flood Control
CI has extensive experience in drainage and flood plain hydrology and hydraulics, and is recognized locally for its expertise in these fields. CI’s experience includes both the study and design phases of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering including flood insurance studies, flood plain management analysis, master drainage plan preparation, and design of all related drainage improvements.
CI has developed a team of engineers with experience using cutting-edge software for modeling flood plains in shallow flooding and sheet flow zones. These capabilities are indicative of CI’s innovative and forward-looking initiatives in flood control.
CI has performed drainage studies for the following government agencies: the Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD), Harris County Public Infrastructure Department (HCPID), TxDOT Houston District, the Fort Bend County Drainage District (FBCDD), and the cities of Nederland, Friendswood, Texas City, Houston, and Sugar Land, Texas.
