Grand Lakes MUD 4
Grand Lakes is a 1,240-acre development located in northern Fort Bend County, north of FM 1093 and south of Buffalo Bayou. The project is traversed by the Grand Parkway (SH 99). GLMUD Nos. 1, 2, 4 and Grand Lakes Water Control & Improvement District were created to finance the infrastructure improvements necessary for development of this project. GLMUD 4 acts as the master district, providing sanitary sewer trunk lines, water distribution lines and all plant facilities. Costello currently serves as District Engineer for all of these districts. As District Engineer for GLMUDs 1, 2 & 4, Costello has designed the following wastewater facilities: an interim treatment plant, a 0.9 MGD permanent plant, numerous lift stations, 7,500’ of force main and over 32 miles of sanitary sewer lines.
HCMUDs 367 and 383
Harris County MUD Nos. 367 & 383 were created to provide infrastructure for Gleannloch Farms, a 2,160-acre residential development. Costello has been the engineer for this project since its inception in 1996. The project contains over 40 sections, a golf course, and several large commercial reserves.
As District Engineer, Costello designed an interim wastewater treatment plant and a 0.75 MGD wastewater treatment plant which is in the process of being expanded to 1.50 MGD, including tertiary treatment facilities for wastewater reuse, five lift stations (three of which are tri-plex), over 5,000 LF of force main (4”-8”), and over 45 miles of sanitary sewer (8” to 15”).
Northwest Harris County MUD No. 5 is a 2,400-acre development located in northwest Houston. As District Engineer, Costello designed a 1.25 MGD wastewater treatment plant. The plant was needed to meet the wastewater treatment requirements of the growing District, and was designed to allow for easy expansion of the plant to 2.5 MGD in the future as growth continues. Costello has also designed several lift stations and force mains to serve the numerous developments within the District.
